RideGC connecting you and I to the Gold Coast Cycling Scene
Note: Gold Coast Cats & Goldstars have combined as one club and are now called ‘Gold Coast Cycling Club’
Cycling Clubs on the Gold Coast provide a constant stream of champions with both Female and Male featuring in State, National and International podiums.
Why is joining a cycling club a good move?
Insurance and Race tickets
Joining a Cycling Club will take your cycling to another level and that doesn’t just mean riding faster. There is so much more to the modern Cycling Club which has transformed over the past few years to further embraced the social fringes of rapidly expanding cycling spectrum, with clubs now creating a much needed bridge from the “cafe cycling scene” to the vibrant “Club” scene.
Gold Coast Clubs are constantly working hard to promote good cycling skills that translate to all levels of cycling aspirations and skill level. You do not have to be an aspiring champion to join or participate, but you will end up challenging your comfort zones and breaking new fertile grounds that lay on the edge of your vision and self beliefs… most people (cyclists) go through this internal journey of discovery only to acknowledge that they should have done it much sooner, you will be a far better cyclist at the very least.
Club Cycling will expose you to
- Criterium Circuits on road
- Criterium Circuits off Road such as Nerang and Luke Harrop in Runaway Bay
- Velodrome action at Nerang
- Club Social Group rides, which are often a central social point for meeting and learning
- Competition at multiple levels of age, gender and abilities
If you do embrace and join a club on the Gold Coast you will be rewarded with strong friendships and in my opinion this has to be one of the fastest ways to get to know the Gold Coast, it’s people and landscapes, if you have just moved to the GC and want to get to know the pulse.
