Construction Company ONEsector have continued their relationship with Cycling on the Gold Coast with naming rights over a popular Main Beach Cycling Group. Lawrence Reece is the OneSector Group Ride Captain and has worked hard in building a positive and strong relationship with the local community, cyclists and businesses such as ONEsector. This is a great example of Business and Community working together creating a robust positive environment around our ever expanding cycling community here on the Gold Coast.

Catch a ONEsector Wheel Experience. . . 

Tuesdays

  • 5:00am (Winter start time – 5:30am)
  • 55 kms Flat:
  • Pace = 32 – 48kms/hr
  • Route: Main Bch – Paradise point – Helensvale -Runaway Bay – Main Beach (or similar)
  • Every 3rd Week Beechmont climb (allow extra 30 minutes
  • Coffee @ Hard Coffee Tedder Ave back by 6:30am)

Thursdays

  • Run option
  • 5:30am 
  • Starts outside Southport Surf Club
  • 10km
  • Starting pace is 5:30min – 6:00min/km
  • Finishing pace 4:30 to 5:15 min/km
  • Stop for drink (water fountain) quick stretch at spit (half way point)
  • Allow 60 mins return

Saturday’s
Ride and Run option

  • 5am start from Crema Espresso on Tedder Ave
  • 40 km (ish) Flat ride 
  • Pace: 35 – 40km/hr
  • Destination:Hope Island Loop
  • Ride finishes at Main Beach Park Run 6:45am
  • Run: 7am –  5 km Main Beach Parkrun 
  • 7:45am Coffee @ Hard Coffee Tedder Ave Main Beach

Sundays with the Sunday Bunch Riders 

There is also a 65km option that starts off with the main group and turns short for an easier flatter ride and reconnects back at the cafe for post ride breakfast and coffee.

  • 5:00am (Winter start time – 5:30am)
  • Typically 80 -110 kms
  • First 20kms is flat/Coastal riding,then undulating with one average gradient hill included
  • Pace = 28 – 35 kms/hr overall average 30kms/hr.
  • Hill climbs every 2nd week (Springbrook/ Tomewin/Beechmont)
  • flat options normally included for those wanting to avoid hills (turn short options etc.)
  • Coffee & breakfast normally @ Cafe on Hedges by 8:45am -ish…for lots of tall tales and massaging of the truths.
